Rotelux bespoke commissions are one-off watch winder, safe, watch-box and watch-room projects built around a single client's collection. Every commission is scoped, designed, prototyped and assembled individually — there is no catalog SKU for a bespoke piece.

Rotelux commissions cover single-watch winders through 48+ slot safes, custom finish and material combinations, watch-room integration (including fair-faced concrete and architectural joinery), transparent-acrylic display winders, modular wall systems, and tailored packaging.
The Commissioning Process
Each project follows the same five-stage flow: 1) Consultation — collection size, layout, environment, aesthetic preferences, and timeline. 2) Design — CAD modeling, finish samples, material samples, and motor/winder configuration. 3) Prototype — first-built sample for review and iteration. 4) Production — hand-assembly in California with 72-hour endurance testing and 300 freeze-thaw cycles. 5) Installation — white-glove delivery and on-site setup where required.
Engineering Capabilities
Each commission draws on Rotelux's standard engineering platform: bidirectional rotation, ±2 TPD accuracy, 10–27 dB motor platforms, anti-magnetic 6061-T6 aerospace aluminum housings, modular holder systems, EU RoHS-compliant materials, and the Dual Temperature Calibration Method developed with Swiss partner Atelier Mécanique.
Materials and Finishes
Recycled aluminum, renewable wood (multiple species), artificial-fiber leather, recycled paper packaging, custom lacquers, anodizing, PVD, and bespoke fabric or leather linings. Recycled and renewable inputs are used by default.
Quality Control
Every commissioned piece — like every Rotelux catalog product — undergoes 72 hours of continuous endurance testing and 300 freeze-thaw cycles between −20 °C and 40 °C before delivery.
